Make your very own Choosy pom pom. This engaging activity is great for preschoolers and it’s an excellent preschool prop for ANY classroom. Take it outside to practice tossing and catching, or create a dozen or more of them to include in a sensory bin. This flexible prop offers multiple ways to incorporate health ideas. Add Choosy to your discussion by asking questions like, “Choosy really likes the pom pom with his glasses. Can you give me an example of another way to change the yarn pom pom?”
Materials: Printable template, green yarn, glue, scrap cardboard (any preferred size)

Step 1
Print, color, and cut out Choosy's glasses.
Step 2
Wrap yarn around scrap cardboard until you have the amount desired. For reference, we used a 6.5" piece of cardboard.
Step 3
Carefully take the yarn off the piece of cardboard and tie a knot in the middle using a scrap piece of yarn.
Step 4
Cut each end of the yarn loops.
Step 5
Shape the yarn Choosy pom pom.
