Choosy’s car is a great inexpensive toy for any child! In addition to promoting fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, and creative expression, Choosy’s bonus game encourages healthy habits. Engage children with questions like, “Choosy likes healthy foods and tries to avoid foods that are not so healthy. What’s your favorite healthy food?”

Materials: Printable templates, scissors, 4 paper fasteners, hole puncher, glue, paint, cardboard tube, purple crayon, small craft stick, pencil, paint brush, craft knife, scrap cardboard, tape

Step 1

Print, color, and cut template.

Step 2

Use the wheel template to trace 4 wheels onto a scrap piece of cardboard.

Step 3

Paint the wheels, carboard tube, and craft stick. Let dry before cutting or gluing.

Step 4

Glue Choosy’s glasses and cape to the craft stick.

Step 5

Use a hole puncher to make holes in the cardboard tube for the wheels to attach.

Step 6

Use a craft knife to cut holes in the center of the wheels to insert the paper fasteners.

Step 7

Attach the wheels.

Step 8

Decorate your Choosy car.

Step 9

Cut a hole in the top of the cardboard tube to insert your craft stick Choosy.

BONUS GAME

Step 1

Print and cut templates.

Step 2

Fold and tape dice.

Step 3

Arrange cards on any surface. Take turns rolling the dice to play Choosy’s Healthy and Not So Healthy sorting game.
